Leona Lee (Rhony) Maxfield Durhamville-Leona Lee (Rhony) Maxfield, age 60, of Durhamville passed away peacefully Saturday morning, February 25, 2017 in the Oneida Healthcare Center with her loving family by her side. Rhony was born in Rome, New York on October 3, 1956 a daughter of Carolyn and Emmett House and attended Vernon Verona Sherrill Central School. Leona was a loving and caring person who had many different interests around the home and enjoyed camping. She was of the Methodist faith. Leona is survived by her longtime soul mate, Robert Conover of Higginsville, one son Matthew and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Maxfield, grandchildren Nick, Alex and Antonio all of Durhamville, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Emmett House of Sherrill, two sisters and one brother-in-law, Gidget and Shawn Mcginley of Canastota, and Pam White of Oneida, one brother Emmett and Robin House of Sherrill, also several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday March 2, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street Vernon, New York. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Leona may be sent to Oneida Hematology/Oncology, 603 Seneca St. #2, Oneida, New York, 13421. Online condolence may be sent to maleckifuneralhome.com
