Obituary of June B. Plantz

On April 29, 2025, June Phyllis (Bennett) Plantz died at the age of 90 in Rome, New York. June is survived by her children; Michael Plantz, daughter Wendy Ahles and her husband Christopher Ahles; and grandchildren Nicholas Ahles, Ashley Jacobs, Mack Plantz, Oli Plantz, Alex Plantz, Austin Plantz, Avery Plantz, Aeiden Plantz and Makenna Plantz. She was preceded in death by her husband James Plantz and son Jeffrey Plantz. June was born on October 16, 1934, in Kenwood, New York. She graduated from Vernon, Verona, Sherrill Central School in 1953. She worked for Revere Copper & Brass, Lynn's Clothing Store and retired from Price Chopper in Oneida. No memorial service or funeral is planned. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in June's name be sent to the Abraham House, 417 N. Washington Street, Rome, NY 13440. The family would like to express a special thanks to the wonderful staff and volunteers at Oneida Health Hospital, Hospice & Palliative Care and the Abraham House in Rome, New York.
