Obituary of John M. Burke

Clinton-John M. Burke, age 73, most recently of the Lutheran Care of Clinton passed away Wednesday morning, August 13, 2025. He was a son of the Myron and Shirley (Thayer) Burke of Chittenango. He graduated from Chittenango High Schools and later from Weber State with a Bachelor of Science degree. John joined the United Staes Air Force in 1970 and retired in 1990 after 20 years of faithful service. He was very proud of his service to his country. He enjoyed camping and being around Family and friends. He is survived by two sons, Paul of Portland, Oregon and Terry of San Jose, CA. Siblings, Karen Burke of Phoenix, NY, Jim Burke of Phoenix, NY, Linda Seever of Keller, TX and Susan Halpin of South Carolina. John was predeceased by his parents, brothers Myron and Robert and his companion, Darlene Wright. Keeping his wishes there will be a graveside service on the 26th of August at 1:30 p.m. in St. Helena's Cemetery, 1776 Middle Road, Oneida, NY. Arrangements are with the Malecki Funeral Home.
