Obituary of Andrea L. Zebley

Sherrill-Andrea L. Zebley, a lifelong resident of Sherrill and more recently of Noyes Manor passed away peacefully Saturday evening, August 30, 2025 in the Siegenthaler Center surrounded by her family's love after her courageous battle with cancer at the age of 48. She was born on January 29, 1977 in Oneida, New York daughter of Barry N. and Elizabeth "Penny" (Walton) Zebley and was a graduate of the Vernon Verona Sherrill Schools. Prior to her retirement Andrea was employed as an activity's aide at the Oneida Extended Care Facility. In her spare time Andrea enjoyed scrapbooking, cooking, baking pies and trips to the Coffee Tree in Sherrill where she could sit at her table and sip on her favorite beverage and greet other patrons and friends from the city. She often referred to the Coffee Tree as her "Cheers". She was a member of St. Helena's Church of Sherrill. Her greatest loves in life were for her family and the City of Sherrill that she often marveled about. Surviving is her mother; Elizabeth "Penny" Zebley of Sherrill-Oneida, three sisters, Leah (Bob) Claudio of Richmond, VA, Danielle (Travis) Krol of Oneida and Natalie Brown of Oneida, one brother Aaron (Kate) Zebley of Washington, DC, several aunts, uncles, cousins and many nieces and nephews. Andrea was predeceased by her father Barry N. Zebley. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff at the Hospice Siegenthaler Center in New Hartford where Andrea was treated with the utmost love, care and grace for the past year. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, September 7, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 464 Sherrill Rd., Sherrill, NY. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Helena's Church, 204 Primo Ave Sherrill, NY with Rev. Christopher Ballard celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Helena's Cemetery, 1776 Middle Road, Oneida, NY. In memory of Andrea please share a smile, a kind word or a conversation with a friend or a stranger as Andrea would do.
