Obituary of Nancy A. Johnson

Westmoreland-Nancy A. (Glynn) Johnson, 83 of Westmoreland and formerly of Vernon Center passed away at home surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday afternoon, September 18, 2025. Nancy was born in Vernon Center, NY the daughter of James and Helen Glynn and resided in New York her entire life. Nancy is survived by her five children, Michael (Jean) Johnson, Cheryl (Burton Jr.) Seymour, Susan (Patrick) Baron, Judith Ballard, Deborah Wiediger; a brother and sister; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Nancy was predeceased by her parents and a very special grandson, Blair Michael Johnson. Nancy was a graduate from Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School and was employed at Hamilton College until her retirement. A lifelong lover of camping, Nancy enjoyed her camp at Lebanon Reservoir and all the friendships that were made there. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Nancy will always be remembered for her love of bird watching, especially her cardinals. In keeping with Nancy's wishes there will be no public calling hours. A private burial will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Oriskany Falls, NY at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Malecki Funeral Home, Vernon, NY.
