Obituary of Michael F. Creedon

Rome-Michael F. Creedon passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025 at his farm in Rome following his courageous battle with cancer at the age of 70.

Mike was born on July 21, 1955 in Oneida, New York a son of the late Edward F. and Norma I. (Jones) Creedon and was a graduate of the Vernon Verona Sherrill Schools.

Prior to his retirement, Mike was employed as a superintendent with Barrett Paving Company for over thirty years.

In his spare time Mike enjoyed farming, gardening, reading, hunting, fishing, a good laugh and time with his family and friends.

Surviving is his wife Joy, his two daughters and sons-in-law, Morgan (Mike) Daly and Sarah (Tim) Page. His beloved grandchildren, Maddison, Haley, Austin, Braelin and Abel. Step-children, Joy, Brandy, Lanson and Serena. Eight step-grandchildren; Jacob, Angelina, Alexander, Sophia, Angelina, Anthony, Ashyah and Vera. His four sisters and brothers-in-law, Beth (William) Piersall, Nancy (Dan) Houseman, Sharon (Charlie) Noda, Patricia Murphy and one brother and sister-in-law Dennis (Diana) Creedon and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Monday, October 6, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon, NY. Prayer services will be private for the family.
