Obituary of Judson D. Chandler

 Judson "Jud" D. Chandler, age 66, has gone to be with his Lord and Savior on October 21, 2025.                         

Judson was born on July 16, 1959 to the late Warren G. and Harriet D. Chandler. Judson was predeceased by his sisters Mary Ellen Chandler and Martha E. Riley, brothers Lawrence C. Chandler and Warren G. Chandler, Jr.

  On August 6, 1983 Judson married Brenda J. Baz and they were happily married for 42 years.                                

 Judson worked at H.P. Hood in Vernon, New York and retired after 32 years. He drove a school bus for Madison Central School which was a job he treasured. Jud loved the children and they him. He also enjoyed mowing his lawn and believed pool toys were a must when company came to visit. He enjoyed collecting Dairy Lea and Coca Cola memorabilia.

 Most of all he loved his loveseat, his clicker and having a Rottweiler by his side. Jud was an avid Giants fan. One of his fondest memories was his son having Lawrence Taylor call to wish him a happy birthday.

  It was tradition for Jud to get a Hess truck for the boys and himself each year. Christmas was very special for him because he could lavish gifts on his loved ones. Playing golf with Snake and Scott, enjoying the Feeding Frenzy with friends and family, and being surrounded by his loved ones were his favorite pastimes.

  Judson is survived by his wife Brenda "Mona" B. (Baz) Chandler, sons Judson D. Chandler II (and wife Adrienne) and Michael W. Chandler (Lisa), brothers Edward C. Chandler (Renee), Mark S. Chandler (Maureen) and Phillip J. Chandler (Laurie) and sister Judith G. Collett (David), sister-in-law Elizabeth Chandler and Lisa B. Farmer (Paul) as well as many special nieces and nephews. The family would also like to acknowledge Jud's hospice nurse Alysa, our church family, friends and relatives for their love and support.

  There will be no calling per his request. A Celebration of Life and Salvation Message will be given at by Pastor David Lenhart at Knoxboro Community Church at 5563 Knoxboro Road, Munnsville, NY 13409 on November 8, 2025 at 1:00 pm. All are welcome. In leu of flowers, donations can be made in Jud's name to Hospice and Palliative Care of New Hartford, New Hartford, NY. Arrangements are with the Malecki Funeral Home of Vernon.
