Obituary of Shirley J. Rogers

Vernon-Shirley J. Rogers passed away Wednesday morning November 12, 2025 in the comfort of her home surrounded by the love and care of her family at the age of 78.

She was born on May 16, 1947 in Oneida, New York a daughter of the late Charles F. and Shirley (Chapney) Sloma and was graduate of the Vernon Verona Sherrill Schools.

On September 22, 1979 Shirley and Loren O. Rogers Jr. were united in marriage and have shared a loving vow of over forty-six years together.

Prior to her retirement in 2012 Shirely was a bus monitor and lunch aide with the Vernon Verona Sherrill Schools.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching her favorite television shows and rides in the country. 

Surviving is her husband Loren O. Rogers Jr., two sons, Neil Rogers and Danny Rogers and several nieces, nephews and special friends Jenn and Barb.

Shirley was predeceased by her parents Charles and Shirley Sloma and brother Jake Sloma and any other predeceased.

In keeping with Shirley's wishes there will be no funeral services. Arrangements are with the Malecki Funeral Home of Vernon. Online condolences may be sent to maleckifuneralhome.com
