Linda R. Stedman

Vernon- Linda Rae Stedman, age 77, passed away late Tuesday morning September 12, 2023.

She was born on December 21, 1945, in Ithaca, New York, as the daughter of the late Leonard T. and Bernice Louise (Gallagher) Bullett. Linda cherished her childhood memories of growing up on a farm in Greene, NY, where she was surrounded by horses and animals. Later, her family relocated to Vernon, and she graduated from Vernon Verona Sherrill High School in 1963.

Linda worked in customer service at Kuhn Farm Machinery and later at Grants Hardware in Vernon. During her retirement, she enjoyed being a personal caregiver for the elderly, and building connections with them and their families.

Linda had a deep love for nature, especially hummingbirds and trees, as well as a strong affection for animals. She cherished time with loved ones and treasured visits with her three grandchildren.

She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Kimberley and Stephen Wituszynski of Hastings and Nicole and Rafe Trent of Tampa, FL. Linda is also survived by her three grandchildren, Avery, Miranda, and Lauren. Additionally, she leaves behind her sister, Pamela Bowman (husband Larry) of Groton, and her closest friend, Mary Shooshan of Vernon.
