Obituary of Jordan M. Davies

Vernon-Jordan M. Davies, age 36 of Youngs Road passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning February 13, 2024 in the Oneida Healthcare emergency room after being stricken ill at home.

 Jordan was born on October 20, 1987 in New Hartford, NY a son of Albert H. Davies of P.E.I., Canada and Kimberly D. (McClenthan) Davies of Vernon. He was a graduate of the Vernon Verona Sherrill Schools.

  Jordan attended Crane School of Music. He graduated from MVCC with an Associate's degree in restaurant, culinary, and catering management and an Associates degree in hotel services, and convention service management. And he was a graduate of Paul Smith's College with a B.S. degree in hotel, resort and tourism administration. This jump started his career in the entertainment business. He was twice the personal assistant to Paul McCartney at his Syracuse concerts, he was a board member of the NYS Blues Festival, he was very involved with the Syracuse Area Music Awards, “The Sammy’s”. He was able to work many events throughout the U.S. when he was employed with Aramark at Lakeview Amphitheater. He was previously employed with the United Way of Greater Utica. Jordan was currently the Senior Event Marketing Manager with PAR Technology Corporation of New Hartford. This was his dream job. He was able to do events and travel. His biggest passion was music. He always said music is life! He was an accomplished musician with the violin and viola. Playing at many events.

 He was currently involved with the Hamilton College Orchestra, the Half Moon Orchestra and Symphoria.

 Jordan was a survivor of childhood leukemia. He was a recipient of a wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Please consider donating to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in lieu of flowers.

  Surviving is his mother Kimberly Davies, father Albert Davies, sister Nicole Jaeger Herschenhorn, brother-in-law, Brian Herschenhorn, nephews, Noah and Grant Herschenhorn, maternal grandmother Joan McClenthan, aunts, Valerie (Sean) Ryan, Lisa McClenthan (Dennis Brown) and Mary Ellen Davies, uncles, David Hogan Jr. (Becky Vedder), George Davies, Mark Davies, Glenn Davies, cousins, Evan McClenthan, Joshua Hogan, and several cousins in Canada and his canine companion Addie.

 Jordan was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Thomas McClenthan and paternal grandparents, Howard and Hazel Davies.  

 Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home, 23 Front Street, Vernon, NY. Private burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Rt. 5 Vernon, NY. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Make-A-Wish Central, 5005 Campuswood Dr., East Syracuse, NY, 13057 or online giving.
