Obituary of Michael S. LaManque

Michael LaManque age 65 of Rome, New York, passed away on September 24, 2024 in Rome. Mike was born on November 19, 1958 in Utica, NY a son of the late Ernest and Alice LaManque. He received a bachelor's degree from SUNY College of Technology and worked as an engineering technician. Mike was a warm soul who lived a tough life and cherished the moments with his family. Mike was always trying to learn new things by taking correspondent courses and reading books on technology trends such as the development of Artificial Intelligence. He enjoyed collecting electronics testing equipment to keep up on the technology he learned in college. Mike worked full time to put himself through college to receive a bachelor's degree in engineering technology. He was proud to serve in the Coast Guard reserves. As a teenager he played football at VVS. Later he enjoyed disco dancing, dressing up in a suit to go out dancing on Saturday nights. Mike was compassionate and caring and will be missed by his family. Michael is survived by his many siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will gather for a celebration of Michael's life at a future date and time to be announced. Arrangements are with the Malecki Funeral Home of Vernon.
