Obituary of Sandra L. Siler- Ashley

Sandra L. (Watson) Siler-Ashley, age 80, a lifelong resident of Sherrill, NY passed away peacefully in her sleep, November 20, 2024. She most recently had been residing at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville, NY.

Sandy was born on February 9, 1944 in Oneida, New York to the late Leon and Dorothy (Joslin) Watson. She was a graduate of the Vernon Verona Sherrill Central Schools.

Prior to her retirement, Sandy was an inspector with Oneida Limited for over 30 years.

Sandy enjoyed time with her family and friends, loved to travel, bowled in leagues at the CAC, played bingo, and was the occasional slot machine enthusiast.

Sandy is survived by her two children, Stephanie (John) Fisher and Stephen (Anne) Siler; along with her grandchildren, Ryan & Kyle Fisher, Nicholas, Benjamin and Matthew Siler; and brother Robert (Sandee) Watson. Preceded in death are her late husband Leroy W. Ashley, and brother Leon Watson and sister Shirley Kaelin.

Family and friends are invited to call on November 27, 2024 beginning at 10am, at St. Helena's Church, which be followed by mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Sandy's final resting place will be St. Helena's Cemetery, Oneida, NY.
