Sherrill-Bernadette G. (Snookie) Peters, age 84, passed away early Friday morning November 22, 2024 in the comfort of her home surrounded by the love and care of her family.

She was born on July 21, 1940 in Oneida, New York a daughter of the late Floyd and Bernadette (Morin) Glover and was a graduate of the Vernon Verona Sherrill Schools.

On December 14, 1968 Bernadette and Raymond N. Peters were united in marriage in Wampsville, New York and have shared that loving vow of nearly fifty-six years together.

Prior to her retirement Bernadette was employed as a racker with the Oneida Limited Silversmith and was later employed as a cook with the Turning Stone Casino.

She loved playing bingo and enjoyed watching game show on television as well as watching the Kansas City Chiefs and NY Yankee baseball games.

Surviving is her husband, Raymond N. Peters of Sherrill, eight children and their spouses, Salvatore (Lisa) Bonaventura, Clockville, Sherry Allen, Lakeport, Joe (Jess) Bonaventura, SC, Harold Bonaventura, Oneida, Vicky (Rick) Sommers, Sherrill, Jerry (Katie) Peters, Maryland, Michelle (Mike) Champney, Verona and Cassondra Peters, Sherrill. Also surviving are her beloved nineteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, siblings, Gloria MacGregor, Terry Glover and Allen Glover and several nieces and nephews.

Bernadette was predeceased by her son, Scott Bonaventura in 1979, three sisters, Imogene, Dolores and Connie, and two brothers Paul and Pete.

In keeping with Snookie's wishes there will be no funeral services. Arrangements are with the Malecki Funeral Home of Sherrill.
