Obituary of Angelina Angie DePaul

Angelina DePaul Vernon-Angelina DePaul, age 84, formerly of Curtis Road and more recently of the Oneida Healthcare Extended Care Facility passed away peacefully late Tuesday evening May17, 2016 at the facility with her family at her side. Angie was born on March 18, 1932 in Herkimer, New York a daughter of the late Marcello and Mary (Tripolone) Caracane and was a graduate of Herkimer Central School. On October 11, 1952 Angie and Robert DePaul were united in marriage in St. Anthony's Church of Herkimer and shared this loving union of over sixty-two years together until Robert's death on November 5, 2014. Prior to her retirement Angie was employed as an aide with Wettel School. She was an active member of Holy Family Church where she loved helping with fish fries and social events at the church. She also enjoyed going to the horse races at Vernon Downs. Surviving are, two daughters, Deborah and Del Richards of Harrington, DE and Robin DePaul Kyer of Munnsville and Richard Kyer of Verona, two sons and two daughters-in-law, Lenny and Ellie DePaul of Lake Grove, NY, Matthew and Jacqueline DePaul of Vernon, ten grandchildren, Bobby Richards, Scott and David Kennett, Matt, Sarah, Meghan, Nikki and Lenny DePaul Jr., Kayleigh and Dylan DePaul, seven great-grandchildren, Sean, Sydney Kennett and Robert Richards Jr., Carson Richards, Charlotte and Norah Pokines and Micah Otero and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Angie was predeceased by her husband, Robert, parents Mary and Marcello Caracane, brother, Anthony Caracane and wife Yola, her sister Rose Ciallelo and her husband Mike, her in-laws, Daisy and Leonard DePaul Sr. and granddaughter Carrie Richards. Angie will be missed by her family she loved so much. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon, NY. A celebration of Angie's life will take place at a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Peterboro St., Vernon. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vernon.
