Obituary of Miriam I. Owen

Miriam I. Owen SHERRILL, NY- On Wednesday, March 1, 2017, Miriam I. Owen of Sherrill NY died peacefully at her daughter's home. She would have been 107 on her next birthday. Born in Roxbury MA and grew up in Stoneham, MA. She married Randolph J. Owen September 15, 1934. Miriam had two daughters, Marilyn J. Wile of Sherrill NY, and Ruth E. LaFranchi of Tacoma, WA. She had seven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren. Miriam moved to Sherrill from MA, in 1988 and became active in The Christian Women's Club, the Embroiders Guild of America and attended North Madison Baptist Church in Chittenango, NY. Miriam was well liked and will be missed by all. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at the Plymouth Alliance Church, 169 Kinsley St, Sherrill, NY. The family will receive friends at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Malecki Funeral Home, Inc., 464 Sherrill Rd., Sherrill NY.
