Oneida Castle-Kimberly M. Dietz- Jones, age 43, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, June 20, 2017 in the Oneida Healthcare Extended Care Facility after a courageous battle with gallbladder cancer.
She was born on July 12, 1973 in Oneida, New York a daughter of Mark and Patricia (Brewster) Dietz and was a graduate of V.V.S. Central School and Finger Lakes Community College of Canandaigua.
Kim was employed in various food service capacities with the Turning Stone Casino and Colgate College.
She was hardworking and loved her family. In her younger years she played the flute and was a life guard.
Surviving are one daughter, Casey Jones, parents Mark and Patricia Dietz of Sherrill, one sister Kelly Dietz-Whitaker of Vernon, nephews, Andrew Dietz, Dylan Whitaker and Joshua Whitaker, two uncles and one aunt, David Brewster and Earl and Christine Brewster and several cousins.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home, 464 Sherrill Rd., Sherill, NY. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home immediately following calling hours with Pastor Kurt Johnson officiating. Burial will be private.
