Obituary of Catherine B. Seamon

Catherine "Kate" Seamon Sherrill-Catherine "Kate" Seamon, age 78, a longtime resident of Noyes Manor passed away peacefully Sunday, August 13, 2017 in St. Elizabeth's Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born on August 31, 1938 in Oneida, New York a daughter of the late A. Franklin and Christina (Hammond) Seamon and was a graduate of V.V.S. Central School. Kate was a fun loving gentle spirit who always had a big smile on her face and could be seen walking around the city of Sherrill. She enjoyed babysitting, collecting dolls, playing cards, playing shuffle board, doing puzzles, trips to Florida to visit her family and going out to dinner. Surviving are her two brothers, Donald Seamon of Vernon and Gary Seamon of Boise, ID, three sisters, Marion Cornutt of Fort Walton, FL, Dorothy Evans of Sherrill and Anita Trudell of Sherrill and many nieces, nephews, many friends at Noyes Manor including a special friend Leo Sixberry and her bird Smokey. She was predeceased by her parents and two sister Mildred "Millie' Klein and Lois Copperwheat. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 464 Sherrill Rd., Sherrill, New York. Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Kolvik-Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery, Oneida, New York.
