Obituary of Ardella M. Sanger

Sherrill – Ardella M. Sanger passed away on Saturday afternoon June 2, 2018 in her home with her loving family of caregivers at her side. Born December 21, 1924, in Oneida, NY, she was the daughter of the late Clemens H. and Marion (Howlett) Sanger and was in the last graduating class of Sherrill High School, the year it was destroyed by a fire. Ardella attended Pratt Institute of Art in New York City where she met her lifelong friend Winnie. She made a career as a textile designer in New York City and went on to work and retired from the International Department of Borden. She then moved back to her family home in Sherrill. Ardella loved spending time with her friends, hiking, gardening, traveling, anything outdoors and most of all she loved animals. Ardella will be remembered most for her love for life and laughter, and for her kindness and generosity to all she met. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday June, 6, 2018 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., at 464 Sherrill Road in Sherrill. A service will take place immediately following calling at 12:00 (noon). Burial will follow the service in Valley View Cemetery, Middle Road, Oneida.
