Munnsville-Bertha E. Dillman, age 86, of West Road passed away Thursday evening June 28, 2018 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 20, 1931 in Augusta, New York, daughter of the late Lewis and Harriet (Towsley) Eaton and attended Madison Central School. On July 23, 1955 Bertha and Richard C. Dillman Sr. were united in marriage and shared that loving union of nearly fifty-seven years together until Mr. Dillman's death on June 14, 2012. Bertha worked at Oneida LTD and then as a bus aide for Stockbridge Valley School for many years, and took great pride and joy in her work. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She was a talented sewer, and liked spending time in the kitchen canning. Above all, Bertha cherished time spent with family. Surviving are her children, Nancy Crane of Oneida, Sharon (David) Smith of Florida, Joseph (Arlene) Ingalls of Oneida, Donald (Terry) Dillman of Rome, Diane Duis of Kansas, Julie (Richard) Wilson of Munnsville, Penny Dillman of Munnsville, Donna Derwoyed of Rochester; her brother, Robert Eaton of Munnsville; her 17 grandchildren; her 31 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Richard, and her parents, Bertha was predeceased by her two sons, Richard Carl Dillman Jr. and Thomas Michael Dillman; and her grandson, Scott Crane. In keeping with Bertha's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Donations in memory of Bertha may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Inc., 4277 Middle Settlement Rd., New Hartford, NY 13413.
