Obituary of Eugene A. DiFondi

Verona-Eugene A. "Geno" DiFondi III, age 49, of Kelly Ave. passed away unexpectedly Saturday February 9, 2019. Geno was born on August 1, 1969 in Utica, New York a son of Eugene A. Jr. and Winifred J. (DuBois) DiFondi and attended Vernon Verona Sherrill School. He was a former auto parts salesman with Trackside Auto Sales of Vernon and Auto Zone of Utica. Geno was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles. His favorite times were spent with his family. Surviving are his mother, Winifred "Winnie" J. DiFondi of Verona, siblings Michelle (DiFondi) Woodcock and husband Ron of Pennellville, Beth DiFondi and partner Will Wilkinson of Verona, Anthony (Patty) DiFondi of Perkasie, PA, Karen (DiFondi) Sorrell and husband Michael of Rome, Wendy O'Toole of Whitesboro, Christopher (Robin) DiFondi of New Hartford, Mary DiFondi of Utica and Robert (Cara) Hoyle of Deerfield, as well as many nieces and nephews. Geno was predeceased by his father Eugene A. DiFondi Jr. and nephew Nicholas A. Horton and his loving canine companion Tasha. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 5:00 to 6:45 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home inc., 23 Front Street, Vernon.
