My grandpa is the best. He is someone that would give the shirt off of his back for anyone. If you got him started in a conversation, he would talk on and on forever! He is one of those types of people that could talk to anyone and he always had a smile on his face. He would crack up jokes all night and have you just laughing and smiling ear to ear. He only got to be in my life for about 4 years before we moved again.It had been years before we started talking again which was just about two months ago. I’d give everything to get that back...this man was my best friend before. This is where I would go to get away from everything else, someone to talk to, a shoulder to cry on, anything. My children will never get to meet him, but his memory will live on through me for them and he will Always hold a place in my heart. To others he is gone, but to me he’s here in my heart and mind. We will meet again Grampi. Our guardian angel.
