Obituary of Edward G. Stelzer

Hoffmeister-Edward (Ed) George Stelzer Sr., 69 a welder and resident of Hoffmeister, NY passed away on November 5th, 2020, in Rome, NY after battling lung cancer. Ed is survived by his wife, Janice Stelzer; his children, Edward and Sandy Stelzer, Heather and Todd Bauer, Tila Stelzer and Zach Williams; and his grandsons Keegan and Killian Bauer; Jack and Richard Stelzer. He is predeceased by his Mother Gladys Stelzer, and Father Morris Stelzer. Ed was born February 22, 1951 in New Hartford, NY. He played football for New Hartford high school and joined the Marine Corps after graduation. Ed was most proud of his accomplishments he made his time as a Marine and continued to help others who served. Ed was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting and being at his camp in Hoffmeister. He enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and teaching them outdoor skills. The Family would like to thank all the staff at Oneida Hospital and the Abraham house (Rome, NY), for everything they did to make him as comfortable as possible. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
