Kathy, Jeanne and Diana Grant wish to extend our since condolences to Barb’s family. Our parents, Bob and Esther Grant, were dear friends of Bill and Barb during those years when they were all raising their families in Vernon, during the 1950’s and 60’s. Eventually they enjoyed each other’s company in retirement. Sometime in the 50’s Esther, Barb and 3 other women began to bowl in a league. Hazel Buss, Harriet Dam and Elsie Brown rounded out the team. It’s a clear memory for me…mom bowls on Thursday night. Of course, they also went to the NYS bowling tournament. I can remember shopping at the grocery store in Vernon that Barb and Bill operated. The good old days.
