Obituary of Brian M. Sgarlata

Sherrill-Brian Michael Sgarlata passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 23, 2022 with his loving family at his side, following a lengthy illness. Brian was born on June 19, 1972, the son of Kathy Brown and Charles ( Skip) Sgarlata. A graduate of Oneida High School, Class of 1990 and Mohawk Valley Community College. He was employed as a Senior Network Engineer with Armory5, Syracuse NY. The only thing greater than Brian's passion for life and his dedication to his work was the love and adoration for his son, Cooper. Brian is survived by his son, Cooper Sgarlata, his mother Kathy & Larry Schultz & his father Skip, his brother and sister-in-law, Chuck & Bobbi Jo Sgarlata, his nephews Dakota, Bryce and Chase Sgarlata, his ex-wife Leigh Ann Peterson and his step son Anthony. He is also survived by his loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Along with his very dear friends, Erich Adams, Robin Ackerman and her children. Brian will be missed dearly by all who knew him. The family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support that they have received during this difficult time.
