Obituary of Keith A. LaClair

Vernon-Keith A. LaClair, age 65, of Vernon passed away unexpectedly Tuesday April 5, 2022.

  He was born on September 8, 1956 in Utica, New York a son of the late Norman and Ada M. LaClair and was a graduate of the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Schools and later went on to receive his associated degree.

 Keith grew up around the back stretch of Vernon Downs and was an excellent groom and caretaker for many years at various racetracks and was still active working for the maintenance department of Vernon Downs Raceway.

  He was a gifted guitar player and could hear a song played once and could play that song on one of his many guitars of his extensive guitar collection. In his spare time he enjoyed his times fishing, being outdoors and spending times with his friends and family having a good time.

  Surviving are his three children and their spouses, Ryan and Anne LaClair of Rome, Rachael LaClair of CA and Christine and Gage LaClair of Md, his siblings, Ronald LaClair, Russell LaClair, Peter LaClair, Norman LaClair, sisters,  Monica Loboda, Carol Ann Poypore and Barbara Ann Cook and many nieces and nephews.

  Keith was predeceased by one brother Darwin LaClair and sister, Cynthia Venterini.

  Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, April 23, 2022 form 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front Street Vernon, NY.
