Obituary of Brittney M. Goodwin

Winston-Salem, N.C. -Brittney M. Goodwin, age 30, a former Canastota graduate passed away unexpectedly on Monday afternoon from injuries sustained in an

automobile collision on interstate 81 while traveling home from an Easter holiday visit with her family.

She was born on March 7, 1992 in Syracuse, New York a daughter of Richard C.and Denise L. (LaClair) Goodwin and was a graduate of the Canastota Schools.

Brittney enjoyed playing sports in High School, she was a star athlete in Cross Country Track and also excelled in Volleyball. Brittney went on to receive her bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

She was currently residing in Winston-Salem where she was using her entrepreneurial skills as an executive assistant and real estate broker with Signature Real Estate LLC of Winston-Salem, NC. She was a bright energetic soul who had many talents and spent long hours on work projects to jump start hercareer and possessed many visions in the real estate market where she thrived on challenges.

Brittany was a bright ray of sunshine to her family and all who knew her, she was a free spirit who touched many lives. She glowed with a smile that would light every room she entered.

She is survived by her parents, Richard and Denise Goodwin and one sister Brianna Goodwin all of Canastota. They are comforted by the Words of Jesus when He said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die." Brittney was a faith filled believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Also surviving are her many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, her special friend Eric, her canine companion and friend Roxy who survived the car crash. Brittney was predeceased by her grandparents (paternal) Samuel and Myrtle(Sears) Goodwin and (maternal) Walter and Lucy(Fratelli) LaClair

In keeping with the family's wishes there will be private calling hours and funeral services at the family's convenience. Private burial will be New Woodstock
