Obituary of Lyle E. Wenham Sr.

Vernon-Lyle E. Wenham Sr., age 90, formerly of Westmoreland, NY and more recently of the Waterville Residential Center passed away peacefully on Friday morning May 13, 2022 at the facility. He was born on April 6, 1932 in Vernon Center, New York a son of the late Milo and Eva (Wagner) Wenham and was a graduate of Vernon High School. Lyle was a man of many jobs in his ninety years. He worked area farms, construction (built his own house in Vernon Center) and even bussed Pre-K children. He enjoyed gardening and collecting anything with an eagle. He was predeceased by his sister Edna M. Wenham and brothers Walter E. Wenham and Harry R. Wenham. He is survived by one son Lyle Jr. "Nick" (Judy) Wenham of Westmoreland, five daughters, Bonnie (Dave) Schieferstine of Westmoreland NY Lu-Anne Wenham of Garner, NC, Crystal (Ken) Roth of Burlington, KY, Eileen (Duane) Walburn of Burlington, KY, Janeen (Rick) Bilby, Independence, KY, five grandsons, five granddaughters, one great-grandson and four great-granddaughters. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday May20, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc. 23 Front Street, Vernon. Lyle's funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. noon at the funeral home immediately following the callings hours. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vernon, NY.
