Verona Beach-Norman J. Clair Jr., age 71, passed away unexpectedly Thursday February 16, 2023 after being stricken ill at his home.

He was born on December 5, 1951 in Utica, New York a son of the late Norman J. LaClair and Adah M. (LeClair) and was a graduate of the Westmoreland Central Schools.

Norman served his county during the Vietnam war from 1969-1970.

He was a talented standardbred driver and blacksmith who enjoyed being around horses. He had a collection of acoustic guitars which he enjoyed playing in his spare time as well as scuba diving and practicing hypnosis on willing participants.

Surviving are his two sons, Marshall LaClair of PA, Adam LaClair of NC, his longtime companion Mary Gill of Ridley, PA, three brothers Ronald,Russell and Peter LaClair, three sisters, Monica Loboda, Carol Poypore and Barbara Cook, brother-in-law, Joseph Venterini and many nieces and nephews.

Norman was predeceased by his parents, two sisters, Diana LaClair and Cynthia Venterini and two brothers, Darwin and Keith LaClair.
