Vernon-Dianne C. O’Neill, 78, went to be with the lord on April 10, 2023, with her loving family by her side after a brief illness at Oneida Healthcare.   She was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her would describe her as the sweetest lady. She was a 1962 graduate of Oneida High School. Her first job was as a dispatcher for NYS Troop D. From there she was a dedicated employee at Oneida Limited for 34 years. When the plant closed, she worked as a cage cashier at the Casino until she retired.

Dianne was married to the love of her life, Donald for 60 wonderful years. They went on to have four beautiful daughters, Roxanne and Fred Bradley; Deborah and Bob Doyle; Marsha Wilcox; and Wendy and Lee Coston. Her daughters blessed her with several grandchildren; Cassandra, Jamie, Morgan, Ondrea, Tracey, Brett, Paige, Brandon, Abbygail and Alaina. Along with 8 great-grandchildren; Cynthia, Mason, Maddox, Jensen, Scarlett, Ethan, Lillian, and Matthew. She was also blessed with step grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. She had a special bond with her little dogs, Cuddles, Sassy, and Izzy. Dianne was survived by a brother John (Patty) Griffith of Durhamville. Predeceased are both parents, William and Florence Griffith of Durhamville.

She enjoyed being an accomplished artist as a porcelain painter for 33 years. She was a member and President of the Fort Stanwix Porcelain Artist Club. She was talented and had the honor of having some of her artwork chosen to be displayed in the World China Museum in Oklahoma. She enjoyed teaching porcelain painting and participated in several art shows selling her work at area craft shows. She specialized in painting cherished portraits on Christmas ornaments for family and friends. Her other hobbies included reading, NASCAR races, bowling, bingo, puzzles, playing cards, Mahjong, dancing, and was a huge Elvis Presley fan. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Private services will be held at Malecki Funeral Home in Vernon, NY. The family would like to give their sincere gratitude to the entire ICU Staff at Oneida Healthcare for their exceptional, compassionate, and professional care. All of the staff especially Dr. James Vanderhoof and PA Cassandra Goldman were absolute angels, assisting the family with all of our needs and her spiritual journey as God called her home on her Highway to Heaven
