Obituary of Stephen J. Fucci

Canastota-Stephen J. Fucci, age 73, of Forbes Road passed away peacefully Saturday morning April 15, 2023 in the comfort of his home surrounded by the love, care and prayer of his family.

He was born on May 23, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York a son of the late Jack and Mary (Rotolo) Fucci. Stephen was a graduate of the Brooklyn Schools and received his diploma in cosmetology.

On November 24, 1976 Stephen and Patricia A. Cogliando were united in marriage in Manhattan, NY and shared this sacred vow of over forty-six years together until her unexpected death on December 2, 2022.

Prior to his retirement in 2019 due to health reasons, Stephen was a hair stylist with Shear Connections Hair Salon in Wampsville.

Stephen enjoyed worshiping at the Evangel Community Church in Chittenango where he sang in the church choir. He had a great friendship with his dogs but his most precious times and joys were spent with his family that he adored.

Surviving are his two children; son, Justin M. Fucci of Oneida and companion, Ashley Robinson, one daughter, Rebecca E. Fucci of Canastota, one granddaughter, Trista Robinson of Canastota and his brother Reverend Jack Fucci Jr. and sister-in-law Nancy Fucci and several nieces and nephews.

Stephen was predeceased by his parents, brother, Robert Fucci and his wife Patricia.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home, 464 Sherrill Rd., Sherrill, NY. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Stephen's brother Rev. Jack Fucci Jr. presiding. Burial will be private and at the family's convenience.
