Obituary of James H. Gracey

Born: August 22nd, 1950 Died: December 16th, 2023 Passed away at Oneida Health Hospital after a long illness. Born in Delhi, NY and graduated from Delaware Academy. Spent six years in the United States Air Force from 1970 to 1976. After his time in the Air Force, went to SUNY Delhi for two years studying auto mechanics. Worked for many years at Cawley's Sales and Service in Clinton, NY. Last worked at Bick & Heintz, Inc in Utica NY for nearly 20 years, until retiring in 2019. Predeceased by his father James G Gracey [1987] and his mother Dorothy L (Robinson) Gracey [2007] and his son, Dustin J Gracey [2021]. Survived by his wife Laurel J (Hadden) Gracey, his sons Derek A Gracey of Vernon Center and Dean M Gracey of Utica, his brothers Harry E Gracey (Kerry) of Delhi NY and Michael L Gracey (Kathy) of Hamden, NY. Along with several cousins. Hobbies were an interest in classic cars, and a love for classic rock music. Enjoyed spending time with friends and family around a campfire. As per his wishes, there will be no funeral services.
