Thomas Delaney Evans, 41, of Syracuse, unexpectedly passed away at home on February 18, 2024. Born April 12, 1982, Thomas attended McAllister Elementary and graduated from Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School in 2000. While in high school, Thomas (lovingly nicknamed “Beef”) enjoyed being a part of many high school musical productions. He also participated in golf, bowling, baseball, and football. Thomas earned the rank of Eagle Scout on August 6, 2000.
He graduated from Colgate University in 2005, and earned the President Chopp award. Though he lived in Syracuse for much of his adult life, he was always very proud to be from the City of Sherrill.
Thomas' greatest joy was spending time with his son, Andrew. He also loved golfing, skiing, fishing, cooking, attending concerts with friends, and having his heart broken by his beloved Buffalo Bills.
Thomas is survived by his wife Kerry Walsh and their son Andrew Evans. In addition to his wife and son, Thomas is survived by his mother, Linda Rosbrook Evans; his sister, Regina Geroux (Timothy); and nephew Nathan and nieces Madelyn and Lindsay Geroux. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Evans and Rosbrook families; his in-laws in the Walsh family; a large circle of high school and college friends (the Yo Mets); and his cherished cat, Samson.
He was predeceased by his father, Dwight L. Evans, and his grandparents Harry and Margaret Rosbrook and Barbara and Lawrence Evans.
