Obituary of Rachyl P. Walts

Please share a memory of Rachyl to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Rachyl Paige Walts, 31, of Utica, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 16, 2024.

She was born July 8, 1992 in Oneida, N.Y., the daughter of Nicole DeBarr and Douglas Walts.

Rachyl had an amazing light about her and smile that lit any room she entered. She was incredibly funny, outgoing, bold, courageous and inherited her family’s inappropriate sense of humor even on her darkest days. Rachyl cherished and loved her friends and family immensely, especially her siblings and has built an incredible bond with her twin sisters the last few years. She worked at PiNZ Bowl as a bartender and loved her work family.

She is survived by her mother Nicole DeBarr Sansone, stepfather Timothy Sansone, her father Douglas Walts, her siblings Trevor Walts, Tanner Walts, Dakota Walts, Gabriella Coppola, Sophia Coppola, Bailey Sansone and Kamren Sansone, her maternal grandmother Andrea DeBarr, her paternal grandfather Gary Seamon, a very special uncle Ronald DeBarr Jr., several aunts, uncles, cousins, two nieces, the Coppola family and a very special person in her life, Sydney Lagasse. She is predeceased by her maternal grandfather Ronald DeBarr and paternal grandmother Ella Seamon.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Cannery, Ward St. Vernon, N.Y. on Wednesday, March 27th 6-10 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, check in on a friend/loved one, lend a listening ear and always tell those you love that you love them.
